Heyo,
I'm Jens!
Programming is my bread and butter. I started with my first "hello world" in Qbasic over 22 years ago and has since then become an expert generalist programmer.
Work experience overview:
- GameLoom Studio (3 years - and counting)
- Varjo (8 months)
- Sensible 4 (1 year, 9 months)
- Osgenic (1 year, 7 months)
- Everywear Games - now called Metacore (1 year, 10 months)
- Rovio (4 years, 10 months)
My experience range from mobile apps, robotics and VR firmware to PC games and even a bit of HTML.
I've worked in all kinds of teams; small, big, just programmers, a mixture of programmers, artists, animators... you name it, I've probably been there. Also various company structures. Small startups, big well-established companies and even companies with a more distributed development mentality.
As I am a generalist I can do mostly everything, but my super power is making software work in a well performing way on your target hardware - be that the latest mobile phone, PC or an embedded system.
Having that said (or rather written), I am not your coder for the amazing webpage you have in mind. Although I know some web development (including WebAssembly), it's not my expertise. Also I steer away from any work requiring me to use Unreal Engine and Unity3D. There are plenty of experts in those areas, but I'm not one of them.
When it comes to languages (spoken ones, not programming languages) I'm fluent in Swedish but I've been communicating in English every day for over 13 years so I count that as partially fluent too. I don't speak Finnish.
